Based on its characteristics, the ALASKA winter spoon is a lure designed for catching zander in current. Nevertheless, it has also performed excellently when fishing for perch in still water. Its action is very similar to that of the famous “Trihedral” spoons. During free fall, the Alaska begins to rotate around its own axis, twisting the fishing line. On the following pause, as the line untwists, it causes the lure to spin. *** It is recommended to attach the lure directly to the fishing line, avoiding swivels. The flashes from the rotating facets of the lure—while the lure itself remains relatively still—can provoke even extremely passive predators. Remember to use long pauses of 6–10 seconds.
