In use, the rotor turns with superb smoothness and power, as the bearings work together in perfect harmony with the gears. When playing larger fish, you can rely on the excellent multi-disc front drag for confident fish-playing. This can apply up to 8kg of drag giving you all the stopping power you need to maintain complete control of fast running fish. <br>Internally the Alivio has a 1+1 bearing arrangement that maintains smooth performance, even when put under excessive pressure, which enables it to be used for a wide range of medium and heavier fishing styles. The 4.9:1 gear ratio and mid-range body size make fishing with heavy leads or lures noticeably easier than when using smaller sized reels.
