The Speedmaster Tapered Surf Line is a high performance tapered mono main line designed for surf fishing. Available is three taper options, the heaviest part of each option is 0.57mm (16.70kg) to handle the most powerful casts and largest leads.<br>If you have only used heavy mono for your surfcasting, the use of a tapered main line like the Speedmaster Tapered Surf Line has the potential to transform your casting performance. With a strong front end to absorb the initial shock of the cast, the main body of the line is much thinner, which reduces distance robbing friction. Another advantage over using heavy line, or using a thinner main line with a heavy shock leader, is the lack of a knot, which reduces potential problems during the cast, or when fishing in weedy shores where rubbish can catch on the knot.<br>The Speedmaster Tapered Surf Line has a super smooth finish, minimising friction as it moves through the rod guides, and a high abrasion resistance and excellent knot strength to cope with the excessive stress caused by the longest casts.
