The Westin W3 Cat Stick 3rd is the ideal catfish spinning rod for kayak and belly boat anglers and is perfectly designed for vertical fishing. Specifically developed for active fishing techniques from a boat using artificial lures, as well as ‘clonking’ and drifting with worm and baitfish rigs. The short TORAYCA® blank is perfect for battling very large fish and supports the use of both baitcasting and appropriately sized fixed-spool reels. In addition, the rod’s two-piece design makes transportation easy and convenient. The W3 Cat Stick 3rd offers excellent casting performance with artificial lures weighing between 50g and 160g, and outstanding lure presentation when vertical fishing with jig heads and vertical systems up to 180g. The lightweight and sensitive XH blank transitions into a parabolic curve under heavy load providing exceptional reserves of power during the fight, even when battling trophy-sized catfish. The W3 Cat Stick 3rd is the ideal match for a size 300 baitcaster or a 5000 size or larger fixed-spool reel.
